Bus Operators accused of holding Greater Manchester to ransom

The Manchester Evening News is reporting that Manchester Councillors have expressed anger at the levels of bus investment in the city region.

As part of the Devolution deal Councils are prevented by regulations introduced by Chris Grayling from running our own bus services even where the services would be both better and cheaper. This leaves the bus operators being able to play games with impunity.
