Bomb Disposal Team called to Canal
Thomas Street footbridge was shut for a time on Saturday as an ‘item’ found in the canal. The authorities weren’t saying what was found but people are saying on Facebook it was a grenade fished out of the Bridgewater Canal. The statement from the Police said the item was not found to be viable.
