Gorse Hill Medical Centre to Close

Gorse Hill Medical Centre and Ayres Road Surgery (Limelight branch) in Stretford, Trafford is to close.

The decision follows a Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection of the practice earlier this year which concluded it did not meet all the criteria required and rated it as ‘inadequate’.

The practice has been working in partnership with NHS Trafford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) over the last few months to try to make improvements and resolve these issues.

It means Gorse Hill Medical Centre and Ayres Road Surgery (Limelight branch) will permanently close from Wednesday 26 June 2019 and Dr Ranjit Sumra and Dr Satnam Kaur are to retire.

Patients are being reassured with a letter this week which provides information about the closure.
